Altair has released an update to latest version of its HyperWorks AcuSolve software 2017.2. This hotfix include new capabilities and/or bug fixes that improve the 2017.2 release.
AcuSolve 2017.2.2 hotfix Release Notes:
The AcuSolve 2017.2.2_hotfix installer brings new capabilities, new utilities, and improvements in performance. Beginning in this release users can access new multiphase features such as Wave Boundary Conditions and Wave Damping. Also introduced are new turbulence-related features in Synthetic Inflow Turbulence and the suppression of turbulence within porous media. With thermal simulations users can now selectively deactivate thermal boundary conditions under the SIMPLE_BOUNDARY_CONDITION and leverage the wider range of thermal boundary condition settings under ELEMENT_BOUNDARY_CONDITION. When analyzing thermal simulations, the AcuHeatBalance utility will help users to quickly summarize and understand the flow and distribution of heat within their system. Finally, an improvement has been made to the thermal wall function which will result in more accurate prediction of surface heat flux. For this change users are encouraged to revisit baseline thermal results.
